Bees By Chantelle!

Bees!

Bees can fly so high right up 2 the sky,
they buzz all day every single day,
they collect pollen 2 make yummy honey,
they love to sting if people annoy them,
I see bees there here everywhere,
surrounding me where ever I go.

My poem on Bees that's our topic at Panmure District this term.

Me & My friend!

This is my friend Natsuki she is from Japan she was my best friend but she went back because she was only a home stay student which means that she wasn't there 4 long but mostly came 2 learn English. :)

My time at Panmure District even though I have not been there long.

My time at Panmure District has been awesome, it is also a great school because you can find a lot of friends in one day like me in like one day I probably made about 20 friends I think. Panmure Bridge is also a great school but when I was there, there were so much bullying happening, but now at my new school there are know bullies there are sometimes fights & people get seriously hurt but that is there fault. Unfortunately soon I am not sure when but I will be leaving Auckland & will be moving to Palmerston North which is a long way from Auckland 6 hours I think. 1 thing that really sucks is that I wont get to see my friends from P.B.S & P.D.S & other schools I am really going to miss you AUCKLAND. :(

P.S. This is all true & maybe I can keep in touch with everyone by e-mail.

The Athletics Sports By Veisinia & Chantelle

We couldn’t believe our eyes! On Friday the 18th of November Panmure Bridge School did Athletics to stay fit and to keep healthy. The athletics we had were, Jump Jam, high jump, Discus, Shot put, Relays and 400 metre race. The first Athletic event was Jump Jam. When were inside the hall Mrs Heeps was leading the jump jam. By the time we were inside I felt nervous with all the students around me while I was doing jump Jam. I felt really bored until someone made me laugh which made me feel better. The person who made me laugh was Paenganui because he was dancing crazy so he decided to jump on the stage. When we finished jump jam our next task was to go to high jump. The teachers that were in charge of high jump were Miss Paton and Miss Sayers. First the 10 year olds went first at high jump. I had fun when it was my turn. The first time I did this I jumped over successfully but the second time I didn’t make it, but it still was fun. When Veisinia had her turn twice she was shaking and she was struggling on the third round because it was so hard that she lost. After Veisinia had lost the high jump she went to the discus, she could hardly grip the discus because it was so big for her hand. When Chantelle had her turn at the discus she was like Veisinia not been able to grip the discus but Chantelle and Veisinia still tried their best at the discus. After we had finished the discus we went to Relays. In the first round you had to run 50 metres. I didn’t win the first round but 1 of my friends Veisinia came 3rd place. After the 1st round had finished, it was time for the 2nd round which you had to run 100 metres. Veisinia came 2nd in the second round. I still didn’t win but I never gave up and that’s what makes it fun. When we had finished the relays we went to shotput which was when you had to throw a round ball as far as you could. My ball didn’t go far but I still had fun. Finally the 400 meter race was here. Veisinia didn’t know what place she came in but I know that she won because I was watching her. It was the best day ever.

My trip to the Museum

Our memorable Museum Trip

How wonderful is that, we have just arrived at the Auckland Museum. Now it's time to walk through the entrance way and up the steps. We went to have morning tea. Now our journey begins here. Down the steps we go and now we’re off to learn about the treasure in the museum.

First my group went to the natural discoveries area and it was cool, because we got to see a Moa’s egg. It was huge. We also got to see a kiwi’s egg. It was about the size of half a pencil case. There was also a great big penguin that was just standing there. The greatest thing was that the dinosaurs were bigger than me.

Our next room we went to was weird and wonderful which had insects and spiders. I was scared when I saw the great big hairy tarantula.

Our next room was land and sea which had a great big starfish and there was a cave that had glow worms on the top. There was also a great big red crayfish that might have been the same size as my baby cousin.

After we had finished in the land and sea area we went to the scary volcano room. “Boom boom,” went the television and smoke coming towards me. I screamed loud some people said to me “Were you scared?”. and “Did you scream?”. I said “Yes”.

Up the steps we went to have lunch. My stomach was like a volcano erupting in front of me. I was so hungry that I could not wait to eat my yummy lunch.

After I had finished my yummy lunch my group went to the Wild Child area. In the Wild Child area it had yummy old candy, a great big elephant and a tree house that had a great big ape.

When we had finished in the wild child area we went to the Pacific Room. In the Pacific Room there were beautiful tapa cloths, necklaces, masks, combs and cloaks. There was also a really huge Waka and a Marae. My group went into the Marae. We talked about where we were going to next. We got to see the Maori patterns, they were very interesting to look at.

Finally we got to end the day by watching a movie on the Maori All Blacks. The best thing was looking at the Maori All Black Jersey when you first walked into room.

It was sad to leave the Auckland Museum. It was a great journey in the museum. Hopefully we can go again later on in the year. It was great fun learning about treasures in the museum.
